A powerlifter from Karimnagar, Thudi Sirichandana won a silver medal in 41st Federation Cup Powerlifting Championship-2024 held in Karnail Singh stadium in New Delhi from December 16 to 19.

Karimnagar: A powerlifter from Karimnagar, Thudi Sirichandana won a silver medal in 41st Federation Cup Powerlifting Championship-2024 held in Karnail Singh stadium in New Delhi from December 16 to 19.Sirichandana, who participated in the 52 kg category, stood in the second position by lifting 330 kg. She got selected for the Asian Powerlifting Championship scheduled to be held in Kerala from May 5 to 11.

Last Night Accident, A Speeding Lorry hit the Auto-Rickshaw from back side near Khanpura Main Gate, Peddapally Road, Karimnagar. According to reports, the family from Jagitial town was going to there relatives home in an Auto-Rickshaw after attending a religious congregation in Karimnagar city. Local residents of khanpura, Hussainipura and passers rescued the childrens and a women who got stuck in the mangled Auto-Rickshaw. Passengers sustained serious injuries and they were immediately shifted to District Headquarter Hospital in Ambulance-108.
