7 districts in Telangana surpass 45°C; IMD issues orange alert

As temperatures soar across Telangana,the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for several districts, signalling the heat wave. A yellow warning has been issued for districts including Mancherial, Nirmal,Nizamabad, and Karimnagar, among others. Additionally,an orange warning has been declared for April 28, indicating even higher temperatures in Nagarkurnool,Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, seven districts have recorded temperatures surpassing 45°Celsius.
